SAFETY4RAILS was presented by Stephen Crabbe, coordinator of the project on behalf of Fraunhofer EMI at the 9th Meeting of the EU Rail Passenger security platform. This group’s task is to provide the Commission with advice and expertise on matters relating to the security of rail passengers in the European Union in train stations and on board trains, as well as to facilitate coordination and cooperation with and between Member States in that regard.
Stephen Crabbe presented the SAFETY4RAILS project and underlined that it is a 2-year innovation action that will deliver a series of tools, also with tool integration in a platform, with a high technology readiness to improve the overall resilience of rail and metro infrastructure against both cyber and physical attacks.
The audience composed of Member States and Stakeholders dealing with security of rail passengers in the European Union took note of the project information.
